The Temple of Isis is a non-profit organization dedicated to the worship of the ancient Egyptian goddess Isis. The temple of Isis web site was conceptualized as a place where all Temple of Isis chapters can create their own web page, blog, and communicate with other Temple of Isis chapters.

Membership is open only to ordained High Priests or Priestesses of the Temple of Isis. An email verification system discourages trivial signup attempts and all applications are moderated by the site owner via the administrative interface.

Once a member's application is approved, they have their own administrative interface to create their promotional web page. Generally the web page url is assigned based on their location, but in any case, a search-engine friendly URL is used to access the web page instead of a complicated URL that is normally asssociated with databse-driven dynamic web sites. Members can choose from a variety of templates for their page, as well as setting the location and formatting of the page. If they are familiar with HTML, they can use BB-code style tags to format their text, or use Javascript-driven tools in the edting interface to set styles, URL's, or insert images.

Members can set up to three contacts for their temple, create and maintain their own temple blog, upload images, and communicate with other temple chapters.

Site administration is via a simple web-based interface that includes:

• Approval or denial of membership applications, and subsequent email notifications
• Add, edit, or delete chapter blogs, pages, member images, or other content
• Easily upload new member page templates, and manage existing templates
• Back up and download web site database
• Create and edit site documents (hrlp fiels, TOS, various emails, etc.)
• Edit administrators
• Modify site settings that affect displays, etc.
